Delete your account
You can do this yourself, any time, in the app.
ShareLista lets you delete your account and its sign-in from inside the app in a few taps — no email required, no waiting. Here's exactly how, and what happens to your data.
Delete it in the app
- Open ShareLista (iPhone, Android, or app.sharelista.com).
- Tap your profile picture in the top-left of the Home screen to open Profile.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Confirm on the sheet that appears. Your account is deleted right away.
Tip: if you'd like a copy of your records first, go to Settings → Data → Export CSV before deleting.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account (your Google/Apple-linked identity, or your anonymous device account) is permanently removed.
- Your session and cached data on the device is cleared when you delete the app or clear your browser storage.
What stays, and why
ShareLista is a shared ledger. If you delete your account but your household keeps going, the expenses and payments you recorded remain in that household's history — otherwise everyone else's balances and monthly totals would silently become wrong. Your display name stays attached to those past entries.
If you want those records — or your name — gone too, you have options:
- You or your household's Admin can delete the specific expenses in the app.
- Email me and I'll erase your name from a household you've left, or delete an entire household's data if you're its Admin (I'll confirm it's you first).
Delete a whole household
If you're the Admin and want the entire household and all its data removed, email support@sharelista.com from the address you signed in with. I'll confirm you're the Admin and delete the household and everything in it.
